HISTORY OF ITW BUILDEX

Established in 1967, ITW Buildex, a division of Illinois Tool Works (ITW), has long been a trusted name in American-made fastening solutions for the commercial construction industry. From the start, our mission has been simple: deliver innovative, jobsite-tested products with the performance and reliability professionals count on—all manufactured and supported right here in the U.S.

Over the years, our reputation for quality and customer commitment led to a new chapter in our story. In the early 2000s, ITW Buildex merged with ITW Red Head and ITW Ramset, two industry-leading brands known for their anchoring and direct fastening expertise. Together, we now operate as ITW Commercial Construction, combining decades of knowledge, American manufacturing strength, and a shared commitment to innovation.
