Does the use of a Condrive tool prevent overdriving of the fastener?
Yes. The bit is designed to disengage from the fastener head when it is fully seated.
What are the pull-out values for Tapcon when used in hollow block?
The strength of hollow block varies depending on moisture content, aggregate, age and geographic location.  The values listed in Buildex literature are achieved under laboratory conditions.
What are the Alpha Length Identification codes I see on some fasteners?
ICC-ES Acceptance Criteria 106 defines an Alpha or Color code for fasteners in more than one length - click on this link for more details - (20Kb .pdf)
Can Condrive be used with a Roto-hammer and SDS bits?
Yes, we make a 3/16x7" SDS Condrive bit (3101910) and a 5/32x7" SDS Condrive bit (3311910).  The Condrive sleeve slides over and locks on to the base of the bit.  The drill adapter is only needed when using Condrive with standard bits in a hammer drill.
What is the difference between a Condrive 500 and Condrive 1000?
The 500 has interchangeable ends---both ends accept a HWH, however, the 500 does not have the disengagement feature. The 1000 has a reusable plastic case--the 500 package is disposable.
Is it possible to install Tapcon into masonry with a standard electric drill gun?
The preferred method of installation is a hammer drill in the hammer mode or a rotary hammer.  To increase bit life, let the drill bit cool down.
How long should the concrete cure before using Tapcon?
At 28 days the concrete is considered fully cured.
